Les Nuits Blanches are Tom De Mette and Mika Goedrijk,
2 university friends who went into the studio together to make Reasonably Quirky Pop.
The songs are original and difficult to put into one box even though there is a homogeneous, recognizable sound.

-“mistaken” is catchy and an instant earworm.

-“la notte” contains elements from R&B, lounge, soul, trip hop…
Nicely mixed together.
Also note the brooding vocals of guest singer Ariana Onane.

-"N.C.T.B" is dressed up as the contemporary Iggy Pop, who also dares to dress it up: with elements of parlando, some light rock and a lot of musical freedom.

-“J’étais dans le noir” starts with a long spoken-word intro in which the ghost of Serge Gainsbourg/Gainsbarre is clearly haunting.

- umi (jarvis bowie) is a ghost track on the vinyl.

It sounds sincere, from the heart and "happy-go-lucky" at the same time.
